JIM SMITH PROMOTED TO DRILLING MANAGER

(ORLANDO) – Nodarse & Associates, Inc. (N&A), a Central Florida based specialty engineering and environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Smith has been promoted to Drilling Manager.

Mr. Smith has over 15 years of geotechnical drilling experience in Florida.  Prior to being named Drilling Manager, Jim was a Drilling Crew Chief with extensive field expertise in Standard Penetration Test borings for foundation design and stabilization, rock coring, sinkhole investigations, muck probing, roadway asphalt coring and critical soil and water sampling.  Licenses and certifications he has obtained include IMSA Certified Work Zone Safety Specialist, FDOT Traffic Safety in the Work Area Course, Nuclear Density Gauge Certified, 8-Hour Hazardous Substance Annual Recertification Course, and 40-Hour Hazardous Substance Health and Safety Training Course for Site Workers.  He has logged thousands of hours operating drilling equipment with an excellent safety record.  Among the equipment he has operated extensively are truck mounted core rigs, CME 45 and 55 truck mounted rigs and CME 45 track, ATV, amphibious and barge mounted drilling rigs.  Some of Jim’s project experience includes the Florida Everglades, Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 408 (East-West Expressway), I-95, I-4, OrlandoInternationalAirport, Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios, Ocean Walk Tower Development, and KennedySpaceCenter.
