(ORLANDO) Recently, two of Nodarse & Associates, Inc.'s senior most engineers, Jim Jammal, P. E. and Dr. Amr Sallam, P. E., were recognized by the worldwide Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) for their engineering expertise relating to the unique soil conditions found in Downtown Orlando. Through their work with Nodarse, the engineers developed a paper entitled, “Case History: Efect of Plastic Clays on the Behavior of APGD Piles in Central Florida”. As a result, the DFI published the paper and invited Dr. Sallam to present its findings to the DFI membership during their annual conference recently held in Washington, D.C.
Jim Jammal, P. E. is a graduate of the University of Florida and has over 45 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering profession. Dr. Amr Sallam, P. E. holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University and a Ph.D. with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of South Florida. Additionally, Dr. Sallam works as an adjunct professor for the University of Central Florida.
